The classic tour with the church of St. Jacob
In addition to the most important sights, we also take time to visit our Gothic church of St. Jacob. Two beautiful altars are waiting to be discovered by you. The 12-apostle altar by Friedrich Herlin as well as the Holy Blood altar of the famous woodcarver Tilman Riemenschneider. While the Altar of the 12 apostles gives us an interesting insight into the everyday life of people in the transition from the Middle Ages to modern times, you will be deeply impressed by the detailed carving of Tilman Riemenschneider’s altar with its relic of the Holy Blood. Look forward to two art treasures of a very special kind! As a starting point for the tour we recommend the fountain St. George at the market place. If you wish, we can also pick you up from your accommodation or a restaurant of your choice and start the tour for you from there. We would also be pleased to welcome you in historical costume.
